Professionals
Professional workers like first responders, nurses, doctors, hospital staff, social workers, therapists, psychologists, counselors, teachers, and self employed entrepreneurs often juggle demanding careers and personal responsibilities, leading to stress and burnout.
At Art Therapy Guelph, we understand the importance of healthy balance for our mental well-being. Therapy offers a space for professionals to unwind and address their challenges, and find inner strength.
Our Motive To Support Professionals
Our goal is to help professionals achieve balance and resilience through stress relief, counselling and trauma therapy for professionals. We blend talk therapy with art therapy sessions for working professionals. In the sessions we will focus on self-expression, stress management, trauma processing and personal growth, empowering professionals to thrive both personally and professionally.
Fee Structure
Fees for our services vary depending on the type of therapy provided. One-on-one sessions are priced at $160.00 per session. Group session fees depend on the number of participants and the duration of each session. For detailed information on group rates, please reach out to us directly or refer to the specific group session details.
If you have coverage for a registered psychotherapist, you can submit your receipts for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to determine if you are covered and the amount you are eligible for.
Glimpse Into Our Professional Therapy Sessions
Each session starts with a brief discussion about your goals for therapy, what you have experienced in life, and how it is impacting you emotionally. A combination of therapy tools may be used during sessions like creative art making, art therapy, brainspotting, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, trauma counseling, and internal family systems. If you chose art therapy, we will collaborate on what art therapy exercises for working professionals suit you. It could look like engaging in painting, collage, or clay work based on what you want to achieve, express emotionally, and reflect on. These activities are not about artistic skill but about using art for self-expression and insight.
After the art is finished, we explore its messages and reflect on its meaning to gain a better understanding. You may be surprised at what comes out in your art-making. For example, there may be tears, laughter, and past stories you share to help me understand. Sometimes, art shows a person’s limiting beliefs and unhelpful thought patterns.
